TRAINING BEGINS

“Successful leadership” is today‘s agenda for ten Chinese executives who work in a subsidiary of a large German company. Coach Wolfgang Knüfer looks into the faces of his participants, faces full of expectations as well as skepticism.

“My trainings are by all means aiming for a situational and enduring change in business culture, internal processes and communication patterns”, explains Knüfer of his philosophy, which is well proven by practice. “A certain insecurity at the beginning of the training is therefore not unusual.”

Any initial fear quickly disappears, because Knüfer’s approach is based on giving his trainees extremely individualized support so that they can personally live their intended changes, applying them to their daily life – business and private – for a win-win situation. The main focus of the training is always on the individual.

  • TEAMWORK IS IN DEMAND

    “A training group consists of eight to twelve attendants at most.” Wolfgang Knüfer explains the framework: the small group size is especially important because theory and practice are equally balanced in the training. Twenty minutes of theory are normally followed by twenty minutes of teamwork and exercises to consolidate the contents. “Here, teamwork is in demand, and there’s certainly a great willingness to get actively involved.” In small groups, everyone is quickly involved.

    Today the training is held in English, but of course all Knüfer trainings and coachings are available both in English and German. This also applies to the detailed training documentation which is extremely important for organizational follow-through. “A change in attitude is certainly not taken in after three days”, notes Knüfer. “It’s important that all participants are able to use the training documentation as a workbook to guide their daily tasks.”

  • LOCAL NETWORKING

    All trainings are also offered as in-house seminars that can be held in the company’s offices. These on-site teamwork activities have a great advantage: they not only improve technical skills, but enhance social contacts and strengthen the network within a company.

    Teamwork helps to coordinate and harmonize values within a company, because, “I know that the other one knows that I know”.
